Is is true that the monorails are really loud at the Contemp?

I mean, I don't mind a little noise, but if it echoes and stuff...

Going with the majority,

outside the room the monorail has a unique sliding sound.

In your room, I couldn't hear anything, I never noticed a loud monorail.

I don't think the monorail is loud at all.

If you're looking for a quiet room, you could not do better than the Contemporary tower. Rooms there were individually constructed from concrete then slid into place.

I think the rooms in the wings and over at the Polynesian are equally quiet - and large, and comfortable. Have stayed at both (several times at the Contemporary)... as well as Beach Club, Yacht Club, Disney Inn (now leased to the Military's Recreation Services as Shades of Green) and Disney Institute. Never heard a TV in the next room, or a raised voice... just quiet.

I find it so amazing that all the rooms in the contemporary were built and then put in to the resort. I have that on Video from a TV special, was I shocked to see that!!

Yeah, really, you walk into your room and shut the door and it's like your standing in a sound proof room, it's amazing.

The Monorail at The Contemporary Resort is very quiet.

However...The noise that comes from the music and singing and dancing and towel waving from Chef Mickeys is pretty loud.:)
