Monorail question?

Please forgive my lack of knowledge, but what exactly is the express monorail? I see that it will be down on Tuesdays and Wednesdays during my trip. Can we still take monorail from MK to Epcot? What out from MK to resorts?

The express monorail runs between the TTC and the MK; the "resort line" stops at Contemporary, TTC, Polynesian, Grand Floridian and MK. The Epcot line runs between the TTC and Epcot. So from MK you can ride the resort line to the TTC to take the monorail to Epcot, or you can take the ferry from MK to the TTC and board the Epcot line.

Yup can still take it just will have to stay at the resorts on the way.
