Monorail question

I am going to the Disneyland resort on thursday for Super Soap Weekend. I was there last year and can't wait to go back. My question is about the monorail. Does it actually transport you anywhere or is it just a ride? Can we catch the monorail from the Paradise Pier hotel or where? Thanks!

The monorail is a real transport from the DTD/Disneyland Hotel area to Tomorrowland. That is the only two stops it makes I believe.

Correct. There are no stops at Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel, Disney's Grand Californian Hotel, or Disney's California Adventure. Guests at the two hotels I listed may walk to the Downtown Disney District Monorail Station for their trip to Tomorrowland--you are talking a five minute walk from Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel to the monorail station. Also note that both Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel and Disney's Grand Californian Hotel have private entrances to Disney's California Adventure.

Thanks for the info, so if we take the monorail to Disneyland from the hotel, can we get into the park from where the monorail drops us off at Disneyland? Is there a separate entrance from the monorail station into the park?
