i had one of those tins you have to open with a can opener to save money for my tickets. i was putting in £1 and £2 coins in every so often and had put a few notes in. i opened it early cos i needed money for my car either insurance or for it being fixed and i found i'd saved over £60 in a month!! so they do work. i now have get another one and start saving again.

I have four disney banks that I use to put change in for my trip.

Cinderella Castle - quarters
Mickey & Friends riding in taxi - dimes
Mickey - nickels
Minnie - pennies

I take the change in before my trip. This year I am going to use this money for a WDW gift card and see how long it lasts.

I never thought to do that, thanks.
I am going to get one which you have to break to get the money out, then I won't take the money out lol.

it truly works

my family has a large pretzel container (like one you would get from costco or sam's club) and we would always put change in the jar. so we probably continued to put change in the jar for 15 years when i finally decided i should count the change to see how much we had. i spent a whole summer rolling coins and i counted over 800 dollars with more change left to count! i never did finish counting. the money jars work! it may take a long time to accumulate that much money but its worth it if it will help pay for a future disney trip! :)

I have a jar that I throw dimes, nickles, and odd $1 or $5 into. Quarters get saved for laundry, and I keep pennies in an old bank bag, and never cash them in - don't sak why, it's just somthing I started (the bag is up to around 60 lbs now)

I take the jar and before we go, I cash it in and my kids use it to get souvineers. The kids like throwing money into the jar as well.
