HI, I'm starting to record videos at WDW and want to know if I am allowed to monetize these videos?
Sorry, I didn't think about that, but its too complicated getting contacts like that for youtube videos. I didn't know since WDWMAGIC has videos if anyone knew. Anyway, thanks for the reply.Probably a question better suited for an attorney rather than a fan website.
When I said monetize I meant use adsense on the videos, to make money for ads playing on the videoJeff Lange and others charge for theirs, but Martin's are free and it would be very hard to match his work.
What is your channel?I make loads of money on my WDW ride videos.
But then, most of these involve @George stripping on rides and are sold to old ladies, with titles such as 'George of the Jungle Cruise' or 'It's a Small World but a Big...'.
What is your channel?
The only thing I'll add is if you are going to go through with this, be very careful about any soundtrack choices you make (if you overlay music). Monetization really changes the way youtube will view your video if you start putting copyrighted material in it.Many YouTube channels make a small profit off of simply going around, filming the parks/rides/resorts, and having the YouTube ad's pay for the hobby. One of my personal favorites that does this is iThemePark's channel:

*If* your channel becomes popular like this one and the views start rolling in, you can actually make a little cash just for filming Disney's/Universal's work. Easy money, (don't expect to get rich by any means, but you can certainly earn a little) and you have fun in the process by filming what you love.
Register on WDWMAGIC. This sidebar will go away, and you'll see fewer ads.
