Mondays @ MK?

<HR style="COLOR: #ffffff" SIZE=1> <!-- / icon and title --><!-- message -->Okay I've read Mondays @ MK are the most crowded, but we've pretty much set our trip in stone as far as the days go. My question is HOW much more crowded is it than other days of the week... like 20% more crowded or 50% more?

I'm also taking into account that it's the week BEFORE Memorial Day, so the crowds should be low to begin with (Touringplans.com isn't helping, first they said a 3, then an 8, so I have NO idea what to expect.)

I'm also taking into consideration that the Orlando schools get out later that week (possible skipping school?) plus the 50th celebration (but WDW is ALWAYS having a celebration of some sort, right?)

Morning EMH: Magic Kingdom® - May 20, 27
Evening EMH: Magic Kingdom® - May 25

we're going May 23, so considering all these factors (we're going at rope drop anyway), so I'm curious as to how the crowds will be given all these factors...

Well, we follow the Unofficial Guide to a tee when we go, so we always avoid the MK on Mondays, because traditionally, that's when the tourists, who arrive on weekends, go to the MK. They hit that first, then usually AK, then MGM & EPCOT last if they have kids. Since that's listed as a "slower" time, it probably won't be as bad. Most schools are still in session at that time, so you won't be with the "first-of-summer" vacation rush yet.

Good luck and have fun!

For some reason, Mondays at the Magic Kingdom are always more crowded than any other day of the week. I have been there in Sept. and Oct. and thought that with locals in school and working it would be ok, but the rumors are true. If you can, try going another day of the week like Tuesday because you will wait about 20 min longer in lines on Mondays. Have fun!

Well, as I said, that day is set in stone. I have a large group of people going with us and they've all pretty much decided on Monday. So the average is 20 minutes longer in line than other days? I think I can get around that (fastpass/kidswitch, proper itin, etc)
