Monday 12 October--Columbus Day--Busy?

I'm trying to schedule a trip around Mid-October.

I've heard that Columbus Day is crazy, anyone confirm or deny that?

Touringplans.com, home of the Unofficial Guide (ding!) gives only a "5"
on their crowd calendar.

But I've heard to avoid that time. Any thoughts?

This was a concern of mine too when I went the week on Columbus day. I was there during Columbus day weekend in 2007. While I did notice that the parks got a bit more crowded, they were still very manageable. Didn't have to wait anymore then 20 minutes for rides. I will say that Epcot by far was the most crowded of all the parks that weekend since that food and wine festival was taking place. Hope this helps some.

Thanks for the response! Sounds very doable.

We've got a three day school holiday that week, so thinking
of pulling the kids out for just two days so we can do this!

Now if only they would release buy 4 get 3 free for October!
