Mobility scooter

Hi there!
When we come to WDW in October, we will be bringing my mother-in-law who will require a scooter. As we will be here for 2 weeks, it is a lot cheaper to rent from an external company rather than the Disney ones every day. When we have been in the parks, I have seen scooters rented from lots of different companies, and am coming up with lots when I am searching.
Can anyone recommend a good company to use please???!!!!!
Many thanks x

We talked to someone who rented from Apple mobility (I think that is what it is called) , he has rented from them many times and said he was very happy with their service. He also said they were the least expensive he found.

another vote for buena vista scooters. i rented for the first time this october- the man on the phone when i rented was very helpful in choosing the right scooter for me; very knowledgable, and kind.
i loved the one I chose, it broke into 5 really little pieces so we could put it in the trunk, and it really did only take a minute to assemble or disassemble- maybe less. it was lightweight and had a higher speed than most scooters ( no, I wasn't a menace- never hit or threatened anyone- but could keep up with my family). and the battery could be brought into the room without the scooter to charge the battery and not take up much room.

There is a list of "Disney-approved" vendors, they can leave and pick up from Bell Services. The others need to have you there. I will try to find the list.

My parents most often rent from Apple Scooter (1-800-701-1971) and Scooter Bug (1-800-726-8284). They’ve been pretty happy with them both of them. Disney allows them to drop off directly at the resorts so it’s very convenient.

Really appreciate all of your help.
I have another issue you might be able to help with - although may need a new thread! We are coming from the UK, my father-in-law is staying here as can't travel. As my mother-in-law doesn't drive, they only have the one disabled badge between them which my FIL will need. I have spoken to Disney, and they can't offer a temporary pass just so we can use it to park in the disabled lots. MIL is going to try and get another badge so she can bring it, but she hasn't yet tried.... If we don't manage it, I know we won't be able to take the sccoters on the trams and if we are parked a way away, it will be quite draining on the battery to ride it to and from the car. Is there a way that my husband can drop her off closer to the park gates/TTC, and then go back and park? Trying to figure out logistics here!!!!!!

Yes there is a guest drop off area at the TTC. Use one of the parking toll booths on the far right. When you have paid, continue to drive straight ahead (not towards the left and the big Parking sign). You will travel a little ways and will turn left at the first light onto Seven Seas Drive. The TTC will be on your right. Look for the sign that says "Guest Drop Off".

Everyone but the driver can get out (so MIL does not have to wait alone.) The driver than continues to the end of Seven Seas Drive and turns left. Keep far left. He will drive a ways (passing the parking lot and the Speedway) and then there will be a "Return to Parking Lot" sign. Turn left at the sign and the driver will be on his way into the parking lot. (He will not go back through the tollbooth, the entrance is before that area.)

After parking and riding the tram, driver can meet you back at the TTC. You should allow 15-20 minutes for the driver to join you.

Drop off is simpler at the other parks. Explain to the booth attendant you are doing a drop off and then will park. They will tell you where to go. You may have to explain what you are doing to one of the parking lot people as well, who will also help.

Awesome, thank you sooooo much. It's just something I had never needed to think about before, so never really paid attention on all our other visits. I thought I remembered seeing somewhere, but that is perfect. One less thing to worry about now :)
