Mobile site

How do I change from viewing mobile site to full site on my iPhone? I don't see the option anywhere. Thanks

I was getting ready to ask the very same thing! I don't like the mobile layout at all and the Classic view seems like it would show up very well on the iPhone screen.

So I can't upload an avatar to the mobile site either? It's has the option to choose a file but it no worky.

That I'm not sure about, Steve would have to answer that one. I do know the mobile version has some limits on its abilities, but it is designed that way to maximize performance and minimize excess data usage.

I can't watch or click on YouTube videos that show a preview. It wont let me watch them. If it has a link I can watch the video.

I'm not terribly smart about how iPhones work, but I don't think the photos are stored in a browsable file format to where you can upload them with this kind of software. I was thinking today it would be really great to upload photos to the board "on the go", but I think it would require a separate app, which may or may not exist.

The iPhone does not allow access via the safari to anything stored on the device, which means you cannot access the images to upload.

I agree, I would much rather just use the regular site than the mobile. It doesn't even show the last poster or anything. Way too bare bones.
The mobile site is designed for small screen devices running on 3G. In that environment, using the full desktop site is extremely slow, and in poor signal areas unusable.

I do understand that some users on WiFI, or even strong 3G may prefer the full desktop, and I am looking at making this possible. I do believe for most users, the mobile version on a mobile will be the preferred option.

There 2 ways to view the full site on the iPhone(may work for iPad). The easy way is to download the web browser Atomic. It's 99 cents. Or you can jail break your device and download UAfaker tweak. Both work.

Now that is one way! LOL
You are using a different UserAgent which is bypassing the auto detection.

The iPad does not auto-detect.

Funny that after I figured out how to view the full site, I actually prefer the mobile site on the iPhone. Grass is always greener right?

I noticed this morning from my iPhone that when you click on your new alerts in the mobile version, you are directed to the correct page but not any specific post. In the regular version, the same action takes you directly to the post that you've been alerted to. Is that a glitch?

Are you running that directly in the WDWMAGIC iPhone app, or from Safari on the iPhone?

Register on WDWMAGIC. This sidebar will go away, and you'll see fewer ads.
