A new mobile ordering service will soon be available at the Disneyland Resort!

Mobile ordering is just one more option for guests to further customize their Disney vacations, allowing them to conveniently place orders at select fast casual and quick-service restaurant locations using the Disneyland App from anywhere across the resort.

Using the new mobile ordering service, guests will be able to easily search for a participating location, select an arrival time window for pickup, choose items from the menu and place their order. As an added convenience, Annual Passholders will be able to apply their discount to meal purchases using the app. Guests notify the restaurant of their arrival on the app and within minutes, an app notification indicates the meal is ready to pick up at a designated window – without ever waiting in line to order and pay.

The mobile ordering functionality is part of our continued efforts to enhance the guest experience. Combined with the recently launched Disney MaxPass, also part of the Disneyland App, guests will spend more time with family and friends enjoying everything Disneyland Resort has to offer – including the upcoming Pixar Fest celebration!

We’ll share more details soon, including which guest favorite locations will be featured.

Finally...

@dweezil78 can you give your opinion on this service from your recent trip to WDW?

Absolutley, positively amazing. Anything you can do to avoid waiting in yet another line is A-OK in my book. There are a few hiccups that need to get smoothed out still -- like sometimes the app says your order is ready before it actually is and sometimes the mobile ordering window gets backed up. But still, it's a zillion times better than waiting in a long line to order your food.

I also really like the way (at least in WDW) it is a two step process where you first put in your order and then it stores it for you and you push a button to let it know you want them to actually make it. That way you can figure out what you want to eat on one side of the park, and then when you get closer and know you'll be there soon, you can tell them to go ahead and make it. Unlike, for example, the Starbucks app where as soon as you put the order in it goes into the queue to be made and you always have to time it just right.

If it guaranteed seating it would be perfect.

The nice thing about mobile ordering is that it allows you to find your table first (assuming you're with at least one other adult and not solo with young kid(s)), figure out what you all want, and then go fetch it and bring it back. You can wait to tell them to make your order until everyone is seated and ready to eat. It's awesome.

Pro tip: Don't tap "I'm here" until you take a look at the mobile order pick-up window. The Dole Whip mobile window once had 30 people waiting. Mobile ordering wasn't faster.

I've used it and it's great. At Cosmic Ray's they weren't even letting anyone in because of how crowded it was but those with mobile ordering were allowed in and I had literally no one in front of me but the place was packed. Not saying it's like that all the time of course, I imagine word of mouth will get more people using mobile ordering. But I think it's an excellent feature.

To be fair, too, there were SEVERAL people behind the mobile ordering area, so I don't know how much they're actually saving on labor ;) You still need people around. Anyone notice how Walmart has a zillion people manning self check out ... I'm sure they'd love to cut labor through using these types of things but I don't know that it's quite the reality yet.

I wonder which QS locations will be first... The Royal Street Verandah would be awesome for this, wait for a table to be available, click I'm here...very nice.

Just a heads up: They won't let you do that at Sa'tuli Canteen in DAK-Pandora. Way too crowded to allow squatters. So, the precedent is there to do the same elsewhere if needed.

Weird... we did exactly that back in February on a very crowded day. (Sat out side -- not sure if that made a difference?)
