MNSSHP...what are you going to wear?

Hey everyone! It's getting sooooo close to our next trip in October. DH and I...mainly just me ;)...are already scouting out costumes to wear to MNSSHP. It'll also be a birthday trip for our soon-to-be 2yr old son. We're on the fence for what to wear. We've got it narrowed down to Snow White, DH would be the huntsman, and DS would be my prince:D OR Cowboys and Indians.

What is everyone else going to dress up as?

Secondly...if we're staying on property are we going to look like complete nut-jobs if we wear our costumes on the bus? Not that it would bother me at all, that's a pretty good way to ensure no one sits too close to you :p.

What I wear will depend on the weather, which can be all over the place in October...but no costume for me.

You won't look like a nut job anywhere. Even in restaurants outside the parks, but in the tourist area, costumes on party nights in September and October aren't infrequent. Have fun!

We're going as the Toy Story Cast, 4 kids will be Buzz, Woody, BoPeep, and Jessie, DW and I will be Mr and Mrs Potato Head. My MIL is going as a Little Green Alien. Should be fun!

My DD3 is going as Tiana. DD6 wants to be Alice as of right now. I would love to get DH to dress up as the Mad Hatter and then I can dress up as the Queen of Hearts, but sadly, I doubt that will happen... My DH has always had a dream to dress up like sorcerer Mickey and dress the kids up like the brooms. ;)

My DS6 is going as Pinocchio, my DH as Gepetto, my BFF is Maleficent, her husband is either going to be Jiminy Cricket or a villian (Capt Hook?), and I'm going to be Ursula or another villain. We had hoped to do a whole theme of villains, but my son wanted nothing to do with it, and we found the Pinocchio costume and he LOVED it. I'm still a little undecided if I want to be Ursula, and if I do, I'll have to find a way to add a few things to the costume I've found online.

The last time I went to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, I went off my rocker and dressed as Ramona Flowers on the cover of Scott Pilgrim vs. The Universe. :p My Dad was a makeshift pirate (he originally wasn't going to go as anything, but put together a "costume" at the last minute), Mom was Little Red Riding Hood, my sister a proper pirate, her husband was a Scotsman, and my niece was... wow, I forgot what she was. I want to say she was either a princess or wearing one of those Half Angel/Half Devil costumes.

A few people may give you and your family some stares, but I assure you that once you get to the bus stop you'll likely see others dressed in costumes as well. My family definitely got a few stares, but a family dressed as The Incredibles came over a few minutes later and needless to say we all had a blast chatting with each other! You will likely also see costumed guests unloading from the bus before you load onto it, too.

Anyway, as long as it's that time of year, people shouldn't think you're odd... well, too odd. ;)

If I had the chance to go again, I'd definitely dress as Belle in her peasant uniform. It'd be a lot easier for me to pull off than Ramona Flowers, I'll tell you that. :D

Last year I went as Marty McFly, my GF was a "sexy" Alice, her son was Hulk Hogan, and her daughter was Spongebob Squarepants. Quite a group. :p I was trying to talk the kids into an Avengers group, but they wouldn't have it. Hopefully they will this year. If not, I've been throwing around Bane, a Legends of the Hidden Temple contestant, or getting my GF to do Hercules & Meg with me.

Thanks! The entire time I was at MNSSHP, I kept getting asked who I was and people giving me funny looks... but one girl made my entire evening when she approached me to compliment me on my costume and tell me how much she loved Scott Pilgrim. I was relieved to know that I wasn't the only fan in the entire park, haha! :D

This will be my first time going to the MNSSHP and i'm on the fence if i want to dress up or not. I'm going with my boyfriend, it will be his first trip to WDW and i know he's not going to dress up. He is much older than I am and people already think he's my father so I'm not sure if me getting dressed up in a halloween costume will make people think that even more. Does anyone on here go without kids and get dressed up even if your partner doesn't?
