MNSSHP, general admission confusion...

The official site and phone support suggest a general admission ticket is required along with the MNSSHP ticket.

I don't remember this being the case last year and in fact I have several reviews this year saying you can enter the park at 4pm with your MNSSHP ticket. Well, of course you can enter at 4pm if you have the required general admission ticket...

Am I missing something here?

Does the event require a regular park ticket just to join in for MNSSHP or not?

Thanks

You're right though, the wording on the official site is very poor:

Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a Halloween-themed special event held on select dates in Magic Kingdom theme park. Purchase of an additional event admission ticket is required to attend Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.

That would imply that you need a regular ticket, But I can assure you that is not the case.

Just to clarify:

If you want to go for the day (i.e. open until official park close at 7pm) you need a regular day's admission.

If you just want to go to the Party (which allows entry at 4pm despite official start time of 7pm), you only need a Party ticket.

If you did wind up going all day AND the Party, you'd simply exit and re-enter anytime after 4pm with your Party ticket and get a wristband. (i.e. if I, as a Passholder wanted to go earlier, I could come in with my AP, exit and then re-enter with a Party ticket after 4pm.)

Have fun!

To politely correct you...

You do NOT need to exit the park and re-enter. If you are IN the park and have a Halloween ticket, you can visit Stitch's Great Escape in Tomorrowland anytime after 4:00pm until 7:00pm to get your tickets processed and get your wristbands. Your entire party must be present to have each wristband put on each person's wrist.

You can also TECHNICALLY visit the turnstiles at he front gate WITHOUT exiting the park. They will help you process them there as well, but I generally advise to visit the main IN-PARK location at Stitch to avoid the people entering the park at the front gate.

If you do exit the park to go back to your car or resort, you can start and should enter the park using your HALLOWEEN tickets anytime AFTER 4pm to enter. This way you won't have to worry about it later.

When entering the park with a HALLOWEEN ticket after 4pm, use the right side turnstiles. REGULAR ADMISSION is on the left side. Each side is only programmed for those tickets. As stated also above, you ONLY use your HALLOWEEN ticket to get in the park after 4pm. You do not need your regular admission ticket.

Finally, if you have your tickets process and have your wristbands, you must have your ticket to re-enter the event. Wristband only will NOT let you back in.

That's about as accurate as it gets...trust me...I know.
