MNSSHP and the weather

The weather forecasts for Orlando on September 25th are predicting rain and isolated thunderstorms. We already have tickets for MNSSHP on that day, so we'll end up going regardless of the rain, but will the event be canceled due to a thunderstorm? What if the weather is bad at 7PM, but clears up afterward? Also, can we get any compensation for our tickets if the outdoor events--parade, villains show, fireworks--are not held due to the rain?

I don't know about a thunderstorm during a parade or fireworks show, but we have watched Wishes, or what they attempted to pull off as Wishes, in an absolute downpour. We've also watched our share of parades in the rain. They weren't cancelled.

We went to the MNSSHP last year and I believe there's something on there about no refund for weather. Not certain but pretty sure.

Enjoy!

Barring a blizzard, the party will go on. Certain activities may be cancelled - for example the Headless Horseman may not lead off the Boo To You Parade if the ground is slippery and wet - but the party will be held and you won't get your money back. Cross your fingers for nice weather but bring your rain slickers. And remember that rain passes in the blink of an eye in FL!

We went to MVMCP:xmas: in the rain last year. The first parade was postponed. Eventually the rain stopped and everything else went on as scheduled.
