MK Welcome Show

Just wanted to know if they do the Welcome Show as well as Spectromagic and Wishes every morning/night in January - we're going Jan. 5th - 12th of '09. When we went in June, of course they did to accommodate the huge crowds. When we went last April, they didn't even do the Welcome Show all week because it was too busy and they just wanted to get folks into the park.

But I don't remember ever being there in January before - anyone know? Thanks! ;)

The times for the welcome show in January '09 haven't been released yet but, according to the info that we have the welcome show took place every morning in January of '08. The time varied based on the park opening time. On mornings when they have EMH for resort guests they do a modified welcome show at EMH opening (7:55am) and then don't do the welcome show for general opening at 9am. During peak and holiday times the MK has EMH every morning, so that's likely why you didn't get to see the welcome show.

Spectromagic is scheduled to be preformed on January 5, 8, 10, and 12 at 7pm during your trip. However, that could change between now and then.

Wishes is scheduled for 8pm every night in January. Keep in mind that also could change.

If memory serves, the full version of the Welcome Show isn't presented on Extra Magic Hour mornings. An abbreviated version is performed for resort guests at 8:00AM. Not sure what takes place at 9:00AM for the general public.

You're right, as I said there is a modified version of the welcome show for resort guests at 7:55am. The train doesn't come into the station and I think its just Mickey and the Magic Kingdom family of the day, no trolley dancers and very few if any other characters.
