MK to DTD

Working out the last of the trip logistics so I can move on to buying new socks/underwear for all the kids for the trip so I'm not stuck having to actually sort through all their mismatched laundry to find enough of everything at the last minute (priorities, amiright?)... and, anyway, there's a lot of info re:underestimating park-to-park/resort/anywhere travel time. So, today's questionably planned travel scenario:

On 9/9, we're leaving MK at the start of MNSHHP- we have a QS dinner credit for our consumptive pleasure that evening and I gave DH "free" (gently, covertly, not very-well-researched, guided) reign of choice of eatery. Now dude's got his heart set on Wolfgang's... Express? (Whichever one isn't in the West End area.)

The day's full itinerary looks thus:
AoA ->1100 ADR Chef Mickey's -> MK -> DTD dinner ->AoA

Did I mention that along for the ride are our 4DDs ages 8/6/4/4? I'm planning to grab some kind of snack on Main St. as we head out of MK to share en route to DTD to stave of the hangrywhines. But since we're driving down to WDW, should we use our own car over the buses on this day? How would the construction situation impact our choice of transportation? If we are at the park exit at 7pm (which- LIES- we have 7DMT FP+ at 6pm and will probably hop in line for a re-ride at 6:58 ;) ) what time could we expect to be eating dinner?

Am I making sense? (Thanks!)

You might be better off with the car as there is no direct line from the Parks to DTD. Buses come every 20 mins..
And just incase your curious there are 2 Wolfgang Puck Express..

This is the one in The Marketplace..

Might be better off with a car as you can always go direct from the parks. The other option is to take the monorail or walk to the Contemporary Hotel and take one of their buses to DTD.

I think I would probably walk or monorail to Contemp, then take the bus. If you take your car and park at the TTC, it will take a while to get on the monorail, and then get to your car, then to park at DTD. You will also not be able to park close to Wolfgang, so you will have a good walk through DTD to the Marketplace.

Taking the bus from the Contemp will drop you right off at the Marketplace, just behind Wolfgang Puck Express.

The only downside of this is the unpredictable nature of the DTD bus. You might wait 5 minutes, or 30 minutes.

With all the construction going on at DTD, I would walk or monorail over to the Contemporary and take their bus to DTD. The Wolfgang Puck at Marketplace is right there after you get off the bus - the side entrance is. Was nice to go out that side entrance for the short walk to the buses since it was starting to rain when I left. And the food is very good. For a QS restaurant, it is very nice inside.
