MK opening day

I am hoping to be at MK for it's 30th Birthday on 1st October, and I was just wondering if anyone was there on the day it opened - or if they knew anyone who was. I am interested to know what it was like to be there on that very special day!!

Hey Piglet,

I was there, I was only young at the time but my parents took me and my sister. i know this isn't a lot of infomation but the thing that really stick in my mind is the huge band playing!
I may not remebre a lot, but at least i can always say i was there. Surely out of all these disney fans there must be some others who went.
