I just got back from Trip number 9 to WDW/Orlando with my family. Here’s my overview of MK with I few questions that I never thought I have but anyway here we go!
What I’m about to say may cause some flaming/bashing. Please refrain if you can.
I think MK’s Entertainment and the way they handle it never looked better!!!!
On the 14th saw parts of the 11:40AM, 1:15PM Dream Along Performances and Parts of Move It, Shake it, at 12:30 They went perfectly, which was normal because the weather was great!
It started to get interesting around 2PM, My Family and I were walking to the train station in town square to watch CADCT. As we were walking up the stairs I started to feel raindrops, I thought Oh No! Not Now! Not with CADCT starting in 50 minutes! Well then it started to pour. Dream Along at 2:15 was canceled understandably, However I was a little concerned if that would set the tone for CADCT. Well it didn’t but it was really close. Around 2:45/2:50ish, I saw the crowds getting off main street down by the Castle, The Bands for the day were coming! And from Fontierland no less! I thought Great! Perfect shot for CADCT! As the bands finished in town square, It started to pour again! I began to wonder if MK would do the Rainy Day Parade which brings up a question: How bad does the weather have to be for MK to cut CADCT and do the Rainy Day Parade? I already figured we were going to get the rain version of CADCT. But seeing that it’s most of the parade anyway, It didn’t bother me. The Weather cleared up just after 3:00, I figured CADCT was already on in Frontierland. At about 3:10/3:15, we get the CADCT delayed message. Which I thought was odd because 1) The weather was bone dry at the time, and
2) I thought MK made those messages at the start time, not 10 minutes late. Does MK make those Messages by Zones or the whole parade route at once?
Right after we heard the message, we heard a loud clap of Thunder off to the East. I figured that was the reason but it didn’t seem like much time passed before hearing rumblings from down below the station, that the parade was on in Fontierland, and then seeing Mickey’s CADCT float passing the castle. As for CADCT: MK gave us a full CADCT Parade! Yes, even Cindy’s float! The only sign of bad weather that I saw in CADCT was that Mickey and Friends were in regular outfits. MK’s timing just amazes me, No more than 5 min after CADCT ended in town square, we got a storm! Would love to know how MK knew they could Get CADCT in between storms!
As for MSEP, Fantastic! Loved it much better than DL’s MESP MK had in 2000. Pixie Trail: More than Fantastic!! That was the best move DCA ever made before WOC that is! The crowd seemed to be really in to Pixie Trail! Left before Magic, Memories, You and Wishes. (little late for my family) When we drove out of MK, I noticed all the parking gates were red. MK was open till 1AM that night for all guests. When do they stop allowing guests into the parking lot?
On the 19th Saw everything again. Saw a full Dream Along! I love that show! That show alone makes me want to move down there! Loved the new outfits! Loved watching Dream Along in the sunshine! The outfits sparkle like diamonds! That Never seems to show up on videos of the show, wonder why?
In closing, Best Castle Show ever! Best Daytime Parade ever! Best Night Time Parade ever! Would I be overjoyed if MK brought back Disneymania, Every Day’s a Holiday or America The Musical? Sure I would! Do I think MK needs a new Daytime Parade for the 40th? Yes if MK is celebrating the 40th, and it needs top CADCT and I’m a huge fan of CADCT! I love that parade! At least put a 40th Show Stop into CADCT.
Even if that doesn’t happen, I still think MK’s Entertainment has never looked better!!!!!!
