Haven't been in 4 years and obvi things have changed. Do I have it right that the fireworks show at 9pm and then immediately afterwards the projection show begins?

On a Thursday in May, how long should I steak out a spot to watch the shows? Used to be 45 min beforehand that I could get a descent spot by Caseys on the curb. Should i alot the same amount of time this go around?

and lastly - I take it anywhere in the hub is a good spot? No longer up and down Main Street ot the train station?

The projection show, "Once upon a Time" is after, but not immediately after, the fireworks, at least it was when I was there a few weeks ago. If you've found a good spot (one where you can see most of the castle), you should keep it and wait.

I really don't understand why "Once upon a Time" comes after the fireworks show, "Happily Ever After". You would think that because both shows contain castle projections, but "Once upon a Time" contains only a few pyrotechnics, that it would be the "pre show". Also, it should be the pre-show because it's titled after the beginning of a fairy tale, and "Happily Ever After" is titled after the end of a fairy tale.

Technically the fireworks start and are advertised to start at 8:55. Just saying in case you're in a situation were you're cutting it close on time and you don't want to miss anything.

To see the projections easily for Happily Ever After you probably want to be in the hub to Casey's area. I wouldn't stand in the area in front of the Partners (Walt & Mickey statue)/area in the street in front of the castle to see a great view of both projections and fireworks. I did this recently and it was an okay view but the castle blocks a little of the pyro. The fence line area at the start of the hub and even with the statue is a good view but those spots go fast, if you want those spots show up about an hour early. I have also watched from further down Main Street, by the Confectionary and you can see projections and get the basic idea but not a lot of detail.

The train station will still give you a good view and you will see projections but again not as detailed as being closer.

The Once Upon a Time projection show is a nice show but in my experience you don't have to show up super early for it. I have shown up (in the summer time even) a few minutes before it started and gotten a spot near the castle.
