MK Crowds during Night of Joy

I was thinking of either going to the MK or having a nice dinner at California Grill for my birthday, and made plans to go on 9/9, which was the one day my wife and I could both take off together.

However, while checking out crowd calendars I read where Night of Joy is also taking place that same night.

It looks as if the concerts and such will be taking place away from the parks at ESPN's complex, but I was wondering how much of an impact NOJ will still have on crowds--specifically at the MK from mid-afternoon to evening.

I was also considering skipping the MK and just going for a meal at California Grill (I have a reservation), but now I'm wondering if the hotels/restaurants will also be really crowded due to the event (not to mention the place being overrun by a younger crowd).

I don't really see crowd calendars change park crowd levels for NOJ, but as a local should I forget the MK and just go for dinner?
I think the impact on park attendance might be noticeable slightly compared to the previous day, but with it not being in MK this year, I would not worry about it.
Since you are local, skip MK, enjoy plenty of extra time a CG and have a special evening there.
Don't understand how it would make the restaurant feel crowded at all as CG has the same number of tables regardless.

Thanks for the answer...that's kind of what I was thinking.

I agree that the restaurant will only have 'X' number of people dining in it regardless, but since we also enjoy walking around other areas of the hotel, visiting the arcade and walking around the shops and concourse, I wondered the impact on those other things as well.

We enjoy walking around the resorts too. One thing we do every trip is resort hop. Hope you have a good evening. If we were local I think crowd avoiding would be important.
