MK closing at 3:00 on DECEBER 3rd.!!

MK closing at 3:00 on DECEMBER.......

Was contacted to change my ressies at CPalace because the park is now closing at 3:00 for media, I tried to call back and confirm this and of course their computer still says 6:00 but when I pushed and told them i was contacted they made some calls while i held on the line and were able to confirm the early closing.....Just thought some of you might be interested!! Do you think MK will be crowded on that day or what !???? I have edited it and I will not change it the date is Magic Kingdom closing at 3:00 on Tuesday December 4th NOT THE 3RD.!!!!

I've been in other parks on days they closed early (before 4pm). Attendance was about the same as always for that time of year. A lot of people didn't even find out until they got to the park. Others just left a little early to go to a 2nd park later on. I would say expect crowds to be about the same as always, and not really affected by this change. (Of course, they WILL be affected by other factors, such as lower attendance overall, weather, etc... so you never know)

The posted hours for December still say 6:00 for MK so I guess you will find out when you get there :animwink:
I was looking and noticed that Dec 5 DS is closed at 4:00. WDW magic said it is for the 100 years of magic press celabration (I hope this means we get to see some on T.V. around here). I also heard the other day that Regis and Kelly are going the first week in Dec. We however won't be there until the second week (but home in time for Christmas and to beat the crowds. ) Hope you have fun on your trip.

If MK does close early that day, it's a nice chance to go back to your hotel and relax then hop over to EPCOT for Illuminations.

perhaps... they are closing the park early to fim the christmas thingy for on tv. I would think that if a lot of celeberties would be therethey woulnd't people like us ruining their time to shine. just a thought. you would figure alot of preperation has to go into that.

My source at WDW has told me that Magic Kingdom's Closing at 3:00 PM on the 3rd is due to the WDW press event that is going to take place later that evening. It's going to take Magic Kingdom Technical Services, Entertainment, Operations, etc.. that long to set up for the event aparently. As far as I know, there won't be a performance of Share A Dream Come True that day as well.

that's correct, it's for th epress event. And the event is actually on the 4th, they just have to close early the day before to get everything set up
