Probably just a ceremony at opening. The reading of the dedication, etc.

Hopefully, whatever it is, they do a nice job with it. I've heard tid-bits from numerous places that Disney has some things in the works and is just waiting to reveal them. I really hope this is true, but seeing as it's now almost a month away and there is still nothing concrete...who knows!

I know a 40th isn't a huge deal, but they still should do something.

you are correct..40 is kind of an odd one, but it is a nice round number. I remember tencennial and what a big deal that was. Hopefully there will be something special, but the crowd level calendar shows lo numbers that day..just the time of year I suppose.

If WDW does have something up their sleeve for the 40th then they have been doing a Very good job at keeping it quiet...

talked to a few CM's today. The 40th looks like it will be pretty low key. MK will be open until 10 pm instead of 7, and not too many extras are planned as far as they know. The 10th and 25th were much bigger deals, but thankfully no pink cake castle this time. There is a cool line of retro 40th anniv stuff, and the artist has done a cool artwork promo reflecting the old school early 70's flavor. Guess the massive blowout party will be in 10 years.

Didn't they make a big deal of DL 40th that we had to celebrate for them but nothing here. WDW never gets too much love.
