How big will the frame of this attraction be? Will it be bigger than the horizons building? I ask this because when I was looking at the progress of the construction it didn't seem to be as big as I thought, ( heightwise ). I know their not done with the building yet but I was just wondering?????

You're right, the building is smaller than Horizons, in both Height and Wdith. The depth appears to be about the same.

I am concerned at the size too.

OK.. what I was wondering about from the construction photos is what is the platform type thing that wraps around the right half of the globe? I really liked the look of the attraction in thr concept painting and would hate for them to ruin it with that platform if it didn't fit in with the rest of the concept...

well I will just keep on watching the progress and hope it ends up looking really awesome!

When is the actual construction of the building going to be finished? And when it is finished how long will it take them to install the ride system???????????/

I hope this ride is better then DQ coster ride. I am sick of simulation rides(besides spiderman). They load too slow. For me they can't simulate g's.

This ride looks promising. Be ready for slow load times and lots of pre shows.

size doesn't matter.....

(or does it ladies???) heheh actually, from what I recall the ride system will be doubled up on themselves. So there will be a 1st and 2nd floor if you get what I'm saying. I can't remember the exact number of systems there will but the depth of the building will go all thw way back to the perimiter road and then some. So it will be deeper than the Horizons building. I remember that they had to get a clearence to change the route of the perimiter road because of that. So....count on it going deeper than you think. ... I really didn't intend the inuendos that are in this post...heheheh:eek:

Ryan - I think size does matter...with rides, that is. They probably want to give the guest the impression that the building is not that big so that when they go inside and in the ride they're surprised? The other pavilions - like The Land and The Living Seas - both seem bigger when you go inside than when you are approaching them from the outside, don't you think?

Just a thought...:)

I could clearly see 2 levels in the building, so I think ur right on that. Perhaps it will be similar to Back to the Future, weher some show scenes may be shared bewteen a couple of centrifuges.

Have u had a chance to go back stage recently? I was wondering if there was any more of the building to be added to the rear. Looking from Test Track, the current Space building goes no further back than Horizons, infact, it looks slightly less.
If the building were to stay as it is right now, I cannot see how it could hold an indoor line, preshow, ride, and post show.
Although I have no idea how big these centrifuges are - i guess we need to know before we can make any judgement on the building size! :)

Does anyone know how often they work on this ride. You would think by now the building would be complete. I mean it's been like a year hasn't it????????

They are working day and night, and all weekends. There a lot of internal syystems that have to be integrated into the building. It isnt just a case of whacking up a warehouse type building.

Was there yesterday afternoon. Took some pictures that I'll load up on the picture section tonight when I get home. The platform-like thing going around the planet looks like it's going to be a metallic ring, around it. I think you'll be able to tell what I'm talking about when you see it. Seems like they have been doing a fair amount of work on this part of the front of the building. Guess their in a hurry to get it finished so they can take down the wall and make us wonder even more, just looking at the front of a new, fancy but closed building

I compared the pictures from spring to now and it looks like barely any construction has been done on the ride. But I guess they have to work on it precisley.

The things you can see on the outside are just facades, and decorative work. The guts of the constrution is the internal building infarstructure, which you cannot see. So the fact that you havtn seen much change since the early pics doesnt really that they havnt been working like mad inside. :)
