I'm not sure from the photos of this new pavilillion, but is there any chance that the ride entrance will be at all similar to the old World of Motion entrance which wrapped around outside the building before going back inside and starting the ride? I always liked that part of the ride.

Hmmm

That's an interesting observation. Would be pretty neat if it did that... although by looking at the current pictures, its kind of hard to tell.

I don't *think* that's what they are doing. I always thought it'd be a Living Seas-type entrance, with the actual entrance being the opening in Mars (or whatever the red planet represents)

Yeah, I kind of thought that too. I always thought it would be interesting if you were put into a some sort of space ship and launch up to a space station which would be like Sea Base Alpha.. only a space station. Then you would be able to explore the station with different rides & shows here and there. (Like Wonders of Life)

problem is Mission: Space is so intense that it'll probably have a 48-52 inch height requirement, and they want litttle kids to be able to see the pavillion.

I think Mission:Space will include some rides inside the pavillion. I don't know exactly how, but maybe it will look like The Living Seas inside , with some rides and other type of games or shows as WoL.
I think they need to make something that will people completely forget about Horizons, after all they better do that, if not we will be crazy about it.
I have great expectations for M:S, I think they are working hard and trying to do something extra-ordinary with it. I hope they succeed.

I always heard the Space Pavillion wass to include Mission: Space and a NASA exhibit. The building isn't big enough for many other attractions...especially considering the ride will be made for Fastpass, which, to me, means two very separate queue lines, and I assume this will have a preshow. You know how elaborate good Disney queues can be....

I really don't recall, but wasn't the name "Space Pavillion" changed directly to "Mission:Space" ?
Maybe it will be similar to THE LAND's deal, instead of a ride called "Living with the Land" a ride called "SPACE" and other little complements to the pavillion.

well...the sign says "Watch this SPACE for a future development", so I interpretted that as saying it's still the Space Pavillion

To bad there is no **space** for all those things you are talking about!

If they do have exhibits, I hope they still add the DISNEY FLAVOUR and don't make it a KSC thing. Their website (Mission:Space) doesn't look to Disney-esque)

Theme wise it will be very similar to the rest of the epcot pavilions..so I dont think you have much to worry about. I dont know why everyone is so "worried" about M:S not being a fantastic attraction...I mean..the building already looks AWESOME and its not even done yet...

This seems to be Brad Pitt in "12 Monkeys".
Anyway, I think the pavillion will be called "MISSION SPACE" and they just used the "SPACE" because the double sense, but will not be the name of the place.
