WARNING Possible Spoilers in this Thread

I was just wondering what the people who have ridden Mission:Space think about the ride. As more people ride we will get more of a general consensous about the ride. Let us know what you liked and didn't like. I am interested in what others thought about their experience.

M:S is probably the best ride since Spiderman or Indiana Jones. The rides mechanics are amazing and the transitions from scene to scene are seamless. The overall ride is about the smoothest I have ever been one. Definately the smoothest thrill ride. I would say pretty much anyone could go on this attraction. There is absolutely NO feeling of spinning whatsoever. At the end of the ride, you do feel funny for about a minute, but that quickly goes away. I dont think many people will get motion sickness. If you look to the side, or close your eyes during the ride, it WILL increase your motionsickness!!!

I love the launch sequence and the slingshot around the moon. VERY COOL!! I also love the fact that every single button inside the capsule is interactive. Every or switch makes a noise or lights something up if you flip it. I also think it is cool when a rider does not hit their button in time and the computer overrides the system. The loud buzzer and alarm goes off and big red system override lights flash...very realistic!!!

The parts I didn't like were the ride duration, weightlessness and ending. I think 3 minutes is a little short. I would have liked to see the original 4 1/2 to 5. The weightless part was cool, but you only feel weightless. You fel like youare floating, but you don't actually float. It is like on a coaster hill, sometimes at the top you fly out of your seat and sometimes your butt still touches, but you feel like you are floating. I wanted to come out of my seat, but that was the part that was making people sick so they toned it down. The onlt other thing I didn't like was when it was all over, you are on Mars, then the door opens and you are on earth. I understand it is just a training excersize, but the CM's say things like "see you in 3 months" and stuff like that. I like the "enjoy your mission" approach better.

That is about it though. I love this attraction and think it is just what Epcot needs. I can also foresee the imagineers changing the software in 8 or 10 years like they did with ToT. Once they perfect the software they can change it up and improve the ride.

WOW!!! I'm speechless. Mission:Space may be, in my opinion, one of the most original and technological rides to date. Its not even that much of a thrill. But when you exit you'll stop to think for a second about how amazing some of the parts of the ride really are. I'm still perplexed as to how they do the liftoff. You're not even really moving and it felt like my whole body was being sucked into the back of my seat. If the launch were any longer I'd be afraid that the skin on my face would peel off. This ride is sure to please people for years to come. I just hope this is an indication of the rides we can expect from Disney in the future. Disney has truly outdone themselves on this one!

As far as the thrill of the ride, it doesn't jolt you around alot to make it uncomfortable for a pregnant person but they could probably get motion sickness very easily.
