will mission space have walk up testing or opening it to the public for people to ride during july 17-july 26? if anybody knows please let me know

Given the length of your trip, there is certainly a great chance that it will be open for you. Of course, the only days that are guaranteed for this ride to be open to Guests are August 1-3 and August 15th and thereafter at this point, but given the way things are going...any weekday after 4 pm, you have a good chance of discovering the ISTC open

Enjoy your adventure!think they will have guest previews after the AP previews, like on Aug 5? Or do you think those will satisfy all the etsting Disney needs because I am considering buying an AP for my trip the first week of August because I am sure I'll be abck anyway within the year, but if it will be open other dates on my trip I might not buy it.

We will be there from the 8-11 of Aug. so do you think there is any way we'll be able to ride Mission Space? My Dh is really hoping we'll be able to.

Well...isn't there ALWAYS a good chance? I'm not even sure Disney knows when it wants to open SPACE more than a week in advance. There is certainly just as good of a chance of it being open after AP Previews as there is before...it's really Disney's prerogative.

I know that there is a special group from Nasa going down later that week. We were going to go w/ them as my Dad works there, but w/ DD's school schedule, it just didn't work. They are having some big ceremony & ride preview for the Nasa people on the 15th I think (if my memory serves me correctly), so that would have been cool to attend, but alas it wasn't meant to be. So hopefully we'll get to do it when we go.

I hope It'll be open for me - Im going July 20th thru 26th.. soo Someone Mentioned in one of my thread and think it might not be open sometime after July 18th or so for Cast Members Previews so Im hoping it'll open up after that for " Testing Again "

Okay. The NASA previews already took place, I believe last week. Cast Member previews are scheduled for July 14-16 only. Therefore, any weekdays before or after those three dates have an equal likelihood of being days in which SPACE is open to Guests. The only confirmed dates we know of now are CM Previews July 14-16, AP Previews August 1-3, and the official opening date of August 15th. Excepting those first two sets of dates, assuming you are ineligible to participate in them, cross your fingers on any weekday over the next 5½ weeks. Good luck!

Well, I know they are having some special Nasa thing around the soft opening time b/c if DD didn't have to start school on Aug. 18th, we were going to go w/ the group from Nasa. My Dad gave me all the info to book it before he knew when DD was to start school. Anyhoo~hopefully we'll get to try it out, if not, next trip then. No big deal!
