Hey!

I have been keeping up to date with Mission Space for a long time now and I believe by my knowledge that Mission Space is going to open in the Spring of 2003. It will almost be guarenteed not to open in the summer, but opened in the spring. Around March is suppose to be the opening and even grand opening of the attraction. Middle to late March is what Im thinking. ºoº

I love these messages!

Every hour (or so it seems) someone pops up with a message saying they have "knowledge", usually from someone on the inside, that M:S will be opening this day or that day or this month or that month. It really is rather amusing.

Hey!

This "knowledge" I am talking about is comming from studying about and keeping up to date with the attraction itself. duh! Not only that, reading all the news confrence reports from Michael Eisner and other employee's from WDW. Also, when I go to disney world, I find employee's/imagineers and talk to them at about up comming things that no one knows about yet or at least the media. I usually talk to them at my hotel or resort that I am staying in. Well thats all I have to say.

Hey!
Yes!, I think you should go the 3rd week of June. I mean it is taking a chance but go ahead. I believe everything should be ready by then. And hey, if its not? You can always go on TOT4?

Lets get some facts here.

1. There is absoulutely NO official opening date for Mission Space at this time.

2. DO NOT plan a trip around any opening date that you may hear, as at the moment any date you hear is simply speculation.

3. Any dates that are currently circulating are simply rumor and speculation, nothing more.

4. Any attractions opening date can change widly and at anytime. Unforseen problems can occur right up until opening day, meaning that any plans you make around an attarction opening are very risky.

Hope that helps :)

How true! Let TT be your guide on this and any other high-tech attraction anywhere in the world. I remember two trips when TT was *supposed* to be open and was still under wraps due to delays. That's just the nature of the beast.

This just in from three VERY reliable sources. I can't say their names, but here's a hint - one name anagrams to "Ear Niche - Smile," the second one anagrams to "Key CEO is mum" and the third anagrams to "I'm U.S. Nominee".

Anyway, Mission: Space will open on April 17th at exactly 9:32 AM. There will be 34 minutes of downtime at exactly 10:19 AM(somebody can't handle the ride - they'll need to clean, and forget to have cleaning supplies nearby, and will have to swipe some from the Body Wars folks), so be sure not to get in line at 10:18 - you'll be very frustrated.

You heard it here first! Purchase your non-refundable plane tickets and head down there now! (Sorry - I eagerly open every M:S thread hoping for real and confirmed info, and since none of it yet exists, I figured we may as well be precise in our rumored inaccuracy)

(BTW, did anyone try to unscramble the anagrams?)

We can all speculate on the dates, and that is fun to do, and thats why we are all here in a disscusion forum in the first place. To Discuss. But being relastic, it will be an Offical WDW press release that will give us that MAGIC date we have all been looking for. In the mean time, we can only ride M:S in our imaginations!

Lets just hope that they dont rehab our Imaginations

Disney has done that to us before

Heres to the Date being sooner then later!!!

:) :) :)

how long do you all think the Stand-By Line will be on the Hard opening???

Splash was nearly 200 min on that hot July day in 1992.

Here's the thing...

once CM previews begin, every Disney site gets flooded with reviews. And that's when Speculation on the final opening date begins.

I have yet to see one CM review of Mission:Space.

What does that tell you...

NO ONE KNOWS.

Stand-by lines when it opens...well, it will be a nightmare of a wait, but luckily, Test Track is next door. Assuming it's open, it will at least help lower the waits. Just get to the park 1st thing in the morning and get a Fastpass or go in the Single Rider Line...at least this ride has a large capacity...but I have yet to think of how they will get guests to their pods...I mean, four giant cylinders make up this ride...it would either be a free-for-all or take an extremely large number of Cast Members to run it...

Someone told me that the 3rd week of june would be a good choice to go because M:S will most likely be open and if no there is always TOT4 what is that the Tower of Terror?:hammer:

I HAVE IT! I KNOW WHEN IT WILL OPEN!

It will be either the hottest, most crowded day in the summer, or the crappiest, wettest day in the spring. Either or, the lines will be trumendous and it will be shear maddness!:hammer:
