what CM are told to tell guests about mission space...

Mission: SPACE will officially open to guests on August 13, however, it may open intermittently to guests before that date, but only when testing permits. This is most likely to occur in the late afternoon or evening. Mission: SPACE is a new attraction; therefore, during test rides, there may be frequent interruptions or delays, resulting in long waits while adjustments are made. Because of the tentative nature of this testing period, and the fact that only a limited number of guests can be accommodated, only guests in the immediate area of Mission: SPACE will be involved.

What happened to August 15th???

From my understanding, it is opening on the 15th of August and not on the 13th of August. This comes from very reliable sources. Believe me on this.

Soft Opening is August 15, 2003
Grand Opening is October 2003

What they are having now is very-very-very-very-very limited guest testing. They are not announced to the public. The soft-opening will begin on August 15th, with daily operation begining at that time, but since its a soft-open, it can close whenever.

I am just relaying what I read in the WDW information bulletin, a weekly puplication by WDW, for CM's.

I am not one to post unconfirmed rumors and news on this site, but when I see something in writing by the Disney Co, I fell obligated to post it. Take what you want out of it, maybe it was a typo, I dont know, but if it opens on the 13th, great, if not, the 15th, but if my vacation ended on the 14th, I would like to know that that is a chance.

Plus there is always the possibility that Disney may have changed the date? So please don't shoot the messenger.

When was it filmed? I didn't download. But remember Rob. Things do change. Date wise, M:S could open earlier on the 15th. I'm not disagreeing with anyone. I'm just stating my 78 Cents.

As you say, my vacation ends the 17th so I was very unsure whether I'd even get a shot at riding. Now with a 13th date, I might have a better chance!

If you look in the portal, that exact saying is in there, but with the date August 15. It mustve been a type-o of some sorts. Plus, I would sometimes watch what I post, cause managers and execs do tend to read these boards.
