I hope this also puts a rest to those rumors that it wont open due to a sponsor dispute...why build a lounge if there is no one to fill it?

...why build at ALL for that matter...

The ride will open, because a contract was signed for the completion of the ride. It's like when a bank gives a person a loan, they make sure they get that money back. If the person who took out the loan happens to die the bank still gets its money or something of the same value. So I'm sure in the contract that Compaq and Disney signed they had a thing about a buy over of the company. I think that HP will have to take over payments, if it is not already completely paid for.

I certainly hope so. It looks like it's going to be a great ride, and drum up interest for astro-technology. We've not been paying enough attention to the exploration of space lately.

Course, Compaq computers bite, but at least they're not Dell. :drevil:

It seems like there's always some little snag with rides, nothing that will hold up the opening too long I hope.

I hope the ride doesn't get delayed too much. This is a ride I have really been looking forward to. Going back to the topic, I think that would be really cool if that was a passholder lounge. :D
