That must be something to experience. The Mantis at Cedar Point (which is a standup rollercoaster) exerts somewhere in the range of 1.5 G's and that seemed pretty hefty. I can't wait to ride M:S and experience it for myself.
Are all of the G's positive, or do you also get to experience negative G's (weightlessness). If so, does anyone know how -g's the ride exerts?

No negative Gs, but I am sure you will like the transission from high G to low G

strobe... What did you think of Mantis??? It was my first stand up coaster, and I wasn't impressed with it at all... It jolted my head around way too much, not to mention how your upper legs (and surrounding areas...) felt afterwards...

Out of all the roller coasters I have ridden (and that's a LOT), I think the Mantis rates dead last on my scale. The ride is bumpy (and not in a good way), you're too confined, and the G's are rapidly presented in a fashion that makes you feel like you are going to pass out. I have ridden this coaster exactly once, and I wouldn't do it again even if it was a walk on. I love every other ride in the park, but this one fails.
That's just my opinion though, some people actually love it!
