I'm sure you all know of binaural recording. You've heard it on Alien Encounter, Sounds Dangerous with Drew Carey, and Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln at Disneyland. It's an amazing way to recreate what it really sounds like to be somewhere else.

Well, I have done just that... with Mission: Space! In this week's Inside the Magic, I present you with a binaural recording of Mission: Space that will really make you feel like you're sitting in my seat, riding the Epcot attraction.

You can find this awesome new recording of Mission: Space by downloading my latest episode of Inside the Magic (#46) here:
http://www.distantcreations.com/insidethemagic

Be sure to listen to the Mission: Space segment in your headphones... that's the only way that binaural audio works!

If you like the recording, I'll have more binaural attractions for you in the future.

Won't have a chance to listen to it until I get home, but thanks! Any Mission: SPACE audio I can get, all the better. You wouldn't be able to record the Planetary Plaza loop, would ya? :-D

That was pretty cool. I hope you weren't the troublemaker in row 6 :D
By the way I really enjoyed the rest of your show. You just gained another regular listener.

Shame about the clipping, but that is a fantastic recording. It really captures the whole atmosphere of being there. I can identify every single CM in that recording just by the sound of their voice :).

As for the troublemakers on team 6, that happens FAR TOO OFTEN.

The clipping was a result of the binaural mics not having enough power. I'll be buying a separate power supply for future binaural recordings.

And yes, I was in team 6. The British family led the way and stopped on team 9's spot... and I couldn't say anything because I didn't want to mess up the recording. So, I waited for a CM to yell at us. ;)

If I may ask a question in this thread; since it is talking about M:S....

How is the ride on the stomach? I am not a wimp but nor do I enjoy rides that spin ya around in circles. Tot, RnRC, Dinosaur, Star Tours - I love em and they are fine on my system. However I don't ride the Tea Cups or spinning rides like the Orange Stinger or Zephyr (both of those are a Dinneys Cal Adventure.)

So, what is the ride dynamics like without giving away the details of the ride. I have purposely not read or watched any videos on M:S because I like fresh experiences when possible.

RU,

I rode this several times a year ago and had no problems with the stomach at all. No dizziness others have reported either. The only thing is you get pressure put on you that can get uncomfortable sometimes. Mainly pressing on your chest. Not real bad.

On one trip I could feel the pressure on my eyes, believe it or not. It felt as though they were being pressed back into my head. Not an uncomfortable or painful feeling, just weird. It only happened the one time, the rest were fine. Maybe it was the seat or centrifuge I was in, I don't know.

I wouldn't eat before I went on it, but you shouldn't have any trouble at all.

Yes, I agree. You don't even realize you're spinning, even if you know you are. Disney did a very good job designing Misson: SPACE, and it gets my kudos.
