No thats not true,you can bring them on M:S.When you load into the X-2 theres a compartment in front of you that pulls out and you set your stuff inside.Next step Lift-off

like horizons said there is a compartment but beware of it lol My backpack was stuffed to the max and when I tried to put it in it was hard to put it in and to take out the back pack was even worse it got stuck a couple of times

you can also do a rider swap. 3 people from your party ride whell u wait in the exit, them when thay get off you give the bag to one of the people who have just ridden and you ride with the rest of your party. it really works out well and 2 of you get to ride twice.

OK...so you can bring them, but you just have to be able to fit it in to your cabinet in front of your seat.

Be aware that the storage compartment isnt very big though. I would be surprised if many backpacks fitted in there. tiggerlover1971 must have jammed it in there pretty good! :)

LoL yes I did steve :animwink: Actually it was a backpack that I bought at the world its is a small one god if I had my big back pack god knows I wouldnt have been able to stuff it in lol :lol:

No.....

I carry a very small photo backpack that is just big enough to fit all 3 of my cameras. I had some MiniDV tapes in the front pouch and had to take them out just because the bag wouldnt fit with the tapes. Then when you pull the bag back up it gets stuck on the latch that sticks out.

I think that is the one thing they messed up when designing the ride they needed to either make it deeper or wider. Dont they know that most people bring backpacks into the world?

When I first rode they were making announcements and telling people to leave their bags with a member of their party that was not riding, if it was bigger than 12 inches I believe. When I rode in August they were no longer making that announcement. Any ideas why? I would think it would be helpful to let people know of the limited "cargo space" beforehand.

Was it part of a pre-recorded loop or a CM that was giving a spiel?

The only thing i could think would be that families may have made a complaint that they spent too much time doing the ride twice when their backpacks would have fit. Naturally, the CM's now probably get a decent amount of people doing the opposite and saying why don't they have big enough storage.

I think a good idea would be free lockers, but supervised by a CM. They could have lockers similar to the ones at the water parks, only when you step up to the locker counter, the CM takes your bag, opens a locker, puts it in, and gives you the key. Then when you exit, you hand them the key and get your bag back.

It was a CM doing a spiel. It was scripted because it was the same everytime.
