Missing Disney; Any good stories or advice?

Aside from the normal blues from missing Disney World, I am going through a really hard time and this site has been a very wonderful escape and therapy for me this entire year. My father passed away in February from cancer. He was the person who got us all going to Disney from the start. Even during his funeral, the main picture we had next to the casket was him at the Garden Grill with Mickey Mouse. Guys, this is going to be my first Christmas without him (Thanksgiving was hard, but I fear Christmas is going to be much worse).

Not to dish out too much about my family, but he was the last person to really keep our family together. I feel like I lost a good bit after he left. (In short, my family went AWOL).

So, if you guys don't mind sharing, I would just like to read some good uplifting stories. Doesn't have to be a family moment, but something good that happened to you at Disney World (or something that I could maybe look forward to when I go in the future) Just anything really good to give me hope this holiday season. :(

Go see Coco, but take some kleenex with you. Then adopt the tradition of the ofrenda as a personal tribute to your Dad, set one up in your hotel room with photos, trinkets and LED lights (no candles, please!) and talk about what you did in the parks that day when you get back to your room. I guarantee you'll feel his presence and be comforted by it.

Just always keep the memories fresh in your mind. Those thoughts of happy times you've all had together while visiting Disney will definitely help get you through the tough times. My wife lost her Dad 7 years ago today, and while the pain never goes completely away, she often recalls funny things he said or did as she was growing up. Those things never fail to bring a smile to her face.
