:( Things I miss the Skyway, and the MSEP, I was happy to see it return to Disney's California Adventure. I caught it while visiting in September, sure brings back good memories. Of previous years of fin.friends and family.

I agree with you on MSEP. I have fond memories of watchin it with my parents and sisters when i was younger. We caught it when it came back to wdw, i was 33 @ the time and tears filled my eyes watchin it. Now that I have a daughter it really upsets me that she will never see it

I also miss MSEP...wish it would come back.

Everyone keeps saying they miss the Skyway...I don't really see the attraction in it...rather slow and boring (although the view was pretty good, just not worth it for the time spent on the ride). Of course, maybe my opinion is being driven a little by the fact that I'm a skier and spend a ton of time on chairlifts outside WDW.

It's okay... I never was much one for these lighted parades. MSEP and Spectro both didn't do it for me. But I love when they're running because that's when I get to do alot of the best things at MK (esp. in peak season).

Tiggrl-

From the rumors I've heard, MSEP is dying. Its being replaced by the parade from TokyoDisney

Hopefully, there's no truth in what I heard, because MSEP is a classic.

I don't think there's any truth to that at all. I know that Fantasmic is going dark soon as well. About the Tokyo parade... Dreamlights (an updated MSEP) has only been there for just over a year, so what would the logic be behind shipping it away, considering that,

A-Disney doesn't own the floats or costumes (all OLC)

B-It's extremely popular

C-The shortest run for a night parade at the Tokyo Disney Resort was approximately 5 years (not too sure on the exact dates) for Fantillusion (which is now in Paris).

I do believe that DEP (MSEP) will be going dark soon, but not to be replaced by a Tokyo Parade

why would OLC want the MSEP when they've already had it, and now have an updated, 3rd generation version

Hi Rob...Which Fantasmic? DL or WDW? It's the one Fireworks type show I really want to see at WDW in Jan.

Cheers

DL Fantasmic... WDW's F! isn't going anywhere

I miss OREC 1 from the people mover. I also miss the skyway. It may not have been a favorite, but it always gave a good view of the magic kingdom as well as disney property in general. being able to overlook the 7 seas lagoon, the hotels, monorail, and see spaceship earth was amazing.

I rode the skyway back in the day...and while it was a wonderful view, I think it was an eyesore from the ground. It didn't fit in with ANY of the lands and seemed kinda tacky to me. Since we seem to be localized to the Magic Kingdom in this discussion, I'll spare you all my normal lament for WOM and Horizons.:D

Well let's see, I miss Mr Toad's Wild Ride, the original Tiki Room Show, the Skyway, Horizons, The World of Motion, and 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea, the original Universe of Energy and Kitchen Cabaret. You may say these were some of the most out of place/outdated/cheesey rides, but I think that where their appeal lied. Oh by the way, I love Winnie the Pooh and Test Track and I can't wait for Mission Space. I can live with the new ETR, but the Ellen version of the Universe of Energy, Food Rocks, and the fact that they STILL haven't done anything with the 20K lagoon is deplorable.

Oh and I almost forgot the original People Mover and the orgnal chase scene for Pirates of the Carribean. Geez looking at this list, you'd think I hated the place now, but I love it more than ever!
