Miscellaneous Tokyo Thoughts

No,
It’s more or less impossible
……….feasibility is looking mighty unfavorable.

Japan’s demographics, its pyramid, will not allow for another due to extreme low birth numbers and an aged population

TDR is in an interesting spot.

Its attendance requires significant expansion (and not just replacement), but to TalktoEthan's point, not to the point where a secondary resort is necessary, and particularly not a good long-term investment. Additionally, it's limited land - and only so many ways to convert the existing land it does have - means that there is a ceiling to the resort's growth. It's just a matter of when.

a YouTube video I saw a while ago said sm I agree with. we use to think park 1 is DL, park 2 is DS, and the question is if or when we get a park 3. however now its park 1 is DL, park 2 is DS, and PARK 3 is new DL. and I actually agree with this. because w TDL its like a sandbox you can play around with. Because while a great park these bold new ideas like their new TL, or B&TB, or new AL are very exciting and interesting, esp w OLC's budget. and if they eventually redo or refresh FL, TT, or the Splash area, it could improve capacity and expand the park when it comes to walkable footprint.

With Zootopia 2 on its way to becoming one of the highest-grossing Disney films ever in Japan (possibly the second-highest animated film after Frozen), I expect some kind of Zootopia expansion in the future of the resort. The IP doesn’t fit TDS at all, which means the most likely area would be behind Critter Country—hopefully as a separate land rather than replacing it.

id say shorten (not take out) rivers and build in behind big thunder. And then keep the train and incorporate it apart of zootopia (since they are gonna remove the current station with the new AL). ie where galaxy's edge is at DL Anaheim do so with zootopia at tokyo. plus the land being built between critter country and big thunder makes sense. esp if near big thunder they do tundra town. Id also ask
1. what about toontown? or apart of it, wether it be zootopia, adding Runaway railway, or building a new land.
2. I recall seeing they wanting to add marvel to tokyo, but where? and
3. when can we get more updates to fantasyland bc still feel its the weakest land at Tokyo

Unfortunately, Toontown is hemmed in on all sides by other show buildings. Building Runaway Railway would require removing Roger Rabbit and a significant portion of the land itself.

As for Marvel, the only place I can really see it fitting is behind Tomorrowland. However, Marvel as a whole isn’t very popular in Japan, with nearly all of the films—aside from the Avengers and Spider-Man series—performing very poorly at the box office there. Because of that, I’d be surprised if Marvel ever received a major expansion at the resort.

Regarding Fantasyland, I don’t think it will be touched again until the other lands finish their respective projects. I agree that the original portion looks very dated, but Beauty and the Beast was likely considered sufficient for the time being.
