Here’s a jumbo thread for all of my non-Disney Park ideas.
SEGA at Busch:
One thing I noticed about the Busch family of parks is the only characters (other than the very real animals) being Sesame Street, a franchise that doesn’t have immediate appeal over the target age. So, I thought to myself... “what about SEGA?” SEGA has many brands with recognizable characters and elements to them, including Puyo Puyo, Ristar, NiGHTS, Streets of Rage, Golden Axe, Jet Set Radio, Space Channel 5, Gunstar Heroes, and of course... the blue boi himself. They’d make an invigorating experience for audiences of all ages, akin to the Universal characters such as Jurassic Park.
SEGAWorld would be a themed area of the parks akin to Sesame Place. The place contains an arcade (of course), meetable characters, and themed rides, including some immersive, Disney-Type experiences.
For instance, Puyo Puyo gets an E-Ticket ride known as Puyo Pop Drop, a new take on drop rides. Riders drop at various rates, with an element of competition so integral to Puyo itself. Operators would drop riders down at various rates to complete a virtual Puyo stack and defeat their foe within the time limit. The one with the most Puyo in their stack loses. This would be accommodated by a Puyo live show, with performers in costumes who are avaliable for meet and greets after the show. The show would have a new story, and be able to fit in with the Busch Parks.
The NiGHTS attraction would be a Peter Pan’s Flight-based attraction, with riders riding vehicles resembling NiGHTS through Nightopia. Ristar’s good material for a flat ride, perhaps the “bus ride” or even a human slingshot. Gunstar Heroes could be a Buzz Lightyear-Type Ride, with riders able to collect powerup items to increase score when they fire at targets, these targets based on the game’s iconic boss battles, including Pinky Roader, Seven Force, and more.
Of course, Sonic gets the big indoor thrill ride. I talked about it in a previous topic, but it would be a ride heavily based on spinning (a top spin), with an all new story and Crush 40 stylings. The series would also get additional rides, as well.
For reference, meetable characters can include a number of “face characters”:
