Minnie's new voice

I just watched Mickey's Trick or Treat show during Oogie Boogie bash and noticed a new voice of Minnie. The new voice sounds a little lower compared to Russi Taylor's higher pitch tone. All in all it's not too bad..But, give a listen and see what you think..

So far the new voice of Minnie is currently heard at Disney's Not So Spooky Fireworks Spectacular at WDW. And now at Mickey's Trick & Treat show. I wonder when Disney will finally announce the new voice actress for her?

I remember it took Disney a year to find a perfect replacement voice for Wayne Allwine. I believe the first time guests heard his version was at one Disney On Ice show back in 2010 and first heard at the Tommorowland Transit Authority sometime in 2010. As of 2019, the last place you can still hear Wayne's Mickey voice is at the WDW version of Fantasmic at DHS.

Also I got to get used to Minnie's new giggle.

Thanks for the correction, make that three. But if Philharmagic does get a major update by adding new sequences from newer and older Disney films. Then I'm having a feeling new lines could be added.

Russi Taylor was the voice of Minnie up till July of 2019.

I think they are referring to the New voice as we do not know the name of her as of yet...

Not sure if I am a fan or not.
I'll have to give it some time to see if it grows on me.
I think what I don't like the most is that she sounds the same as the former voice some of the time but then EXTREMELY different most of the time.

I hope you're not walking around telling people that in your daily life. It kinda ruins the park magic.
That's why you refer to character performers as "friends" or "they hang out with".

Disney can be pretty strict about keeping the secret, they don’t want that info being spread around.

Exactly. CMs are under contract to not directly state what character they portray so for the magic I would hope that others wouldn't directly state it either.

Not a great idea to ruin the magic on this site or reveal the names of the "friends of the characters". Disney seriously doesn't mess around!

I don't think that is true. Might have been years ago but it isn't the case in my experience. I have a lot of friends that are character performers at WDW and most of them have no problem telling people which characters they are "friends" with. My one friend "is friends with" Pluto and he's told me so many things that will defiantly ruin the magic! He even asked me "I hope I'm not ruining the magic for you?", lmao. 3 years too late! I know face characters that will tell you who their friends with, but some won't tell you. Depends on the person I guess.

Hmm, thats a toughie..It's possible he did the first version as it premiered Feb 2009. Wayne passed in May of that year

That's my point. They can say friends with but I do believe under contract they cannot say they ARE Pluto etc.

It's the Disney jr live theater..Hence the interactivty..Better than the DecenDance nonsense.
