Minnie Mouse Costume / Pattern

We missed out on the Minnie Mouse Costume from the Disney store online.. Sold out :(
Without getting into a long story and boring everyone with details.. My wife is trying really hard to find a non "sleezy" minnie mouse costume.
I have looked for patterns also but can't find any for less than around 39.99 for a buy it now on ebay.
With all the great ideas people on this board have.. has anyone found a reasonable priced Minnie costume or pattern.. that isn't inappropriate to be around children. :)

i would ebay the disney store dress . you might be surprised. also i had an idea: get a black leotard, bright red tuto and shirt, add minnie ears , a bow, and sparkly shoes and there you go :)
