I am trying to decide between two models.
Sony TRV70
Panasonic DV953

I am not an overly manual control person when it comes to cameras, more of a point and shoot. The Panny has 3 690k (effective) CCD's so will better represent color, has more manual control and has a 3.5 inch LCD. The Sony at 1MP (effective) CCD and 2.5 inch LCD is approximately $225 cheaper. They both do anamorphic widescreen which is a must for my 16:9 51" widescreen.

Anyone have any suggestions for me on which I should buy?

Thanks

They both seem to be great camcorders. Since both of them have great features, I would think it would come down to useability. I would go for the one with the easiest control and navigation of features.

If you haven't bought the camcorder already get the panasonic with 3 CCD's! you will get better picture quality durn darker parts of the day like dusk and sunrise. also its better indoors. I have a Canon ZR70 which I love. gets bad reviews for indoor but if you can handle doing manual shoots its a really nice picture in the long run.
