We are planning a trip in the upcoming year and were wondering. If you want to play at any of the miniature golf courses do you need to make a reservation? I thought you did at one time but don't know about now. Thanks guys

No reservations needed but some time when weve showed up to play there can be a slight wait especially at Winter Summerland course which is more popular with families with kids.

Can you walk there from the Boardwalk area? We’re staying at POFQ in October and I’m thinking we’ll drive over. But if we’re in Epcot, if we can walk over we might do that.

I wish Disney would invest in another well themed course by Typhoon Lagoon. You could give it a ruinous indiana jones theme....temple of the forbidden putt perhaps lol. Either way, build more course and then Disney could have some kind of celebrity charity putt putt show on D+

By the way, Port Orleans is a very beautiful resort. I like all of the alligator and mardi gras theme. May be wonderful also to take a carriage ride there. We did that!

It's not really walkable, Winter Summerland is next to the Blizzard Beach parking lot. Our family stays at POR and we always drive over. As others have said, Winter Summerland is a great time and it's one of the highlights of my trip, so many memories there. We've played some times where we were the only ones until the 6th or 7th hole and we've played other times where there were multiple families in front of us and behind us.

If you do drive, there is a parking lot right next to the course. It is gated and pay-to-park as it is part of the Swan Reserve. The CM at the Fantasia Gardens will give you a voucher for the parking so it ends up being free to park while you golf. Wait times can be longer now because of the Swan Reserve (I’ve seen 60+ minutes), but they’re generally under 30 minutes. You can walk from Epcot, and there are protected crosswalks, signs, and everything to get there. You can walk through the Yacht and Beach Club, as it doesn’t really take any more time to walk through the resort than on the boardwalk outside (walking through the resort gives you AC and a chance to see the resort if that interests you). Overall, it’s super fun to do!

If visiting during busier times of the year, do note that APs can add on the waterparks, sports, and more option to their AP. This allows them to mini golf one time per course per day before 4pm. Wait times can be higher before 4pm, but from my experience, most of us only get the add-on for the waterparks and not for the mini-golf offering. It’s fun to do, but doesn’t seem to drastically change the wait time. You used to be able to call the mini golf course if you wanted to know the current wait time for the courses, but I do not know if they still have a phone line.

If you plan on playing the fantasia gardens fairway course, I would make a reservation. We got there about an hour after opening last January and was going to be about an hour wait. He told us to call ahead so we did that for the next day. We walked right on, it must be a thing because when we paid he announced to the people already waiting that we had a reservation so he didn’t get backlash.

I know people joke about how the Jow moana walkthrough at Epcot looks like a minigolf course but if they actually made one....that would be pretty chill as well imo. I know mini golf isnt a money maker but I wish theyd invest in some new courses
