Mini-Golf?

We are playing around with the possibility of taking the kids to play mini-golf. We never did this before, so bear with me, I've got lots of questions....

1. Winter Wonderland or Fantasia Gardens?

2. How do you get to either course using the bus system? (we are staying at Pop)

3. Do you still get coupons/vouchers for mini-golf when staying on property? Is so, what are they?

4. Is it normally busy or quiet? We are going with a 2 & 4yo so we may play a little slower than an avid mini-golfer:rolleyes:

Thanks for any insight!

1. Winter Summerland. The courses are easier than Fantasia Gardens for younger kids and are themed/decorated much more fun!

2. It is also easier to get to WS than FG using the buses. From Pop, board the Blizzard Beach bus and make the short walk over to WS. To get to FG, you need to get to Swan/Dolphin and then make the longer walk across the street.

3. Any vouchers available for mini-golf would have been sent to you if you purchased a MYW package. Merely staying on property does not entitle you to a discount. AP holders get a discount off the mini-golf rate.

4. Evenings are MUCH busier than the daytime. Mornings are best.

Hope this helps!

Thanks so much! Sorry, I should have mentioned, but we are going in February, when Blizzard beach may be closed - will a bus still go there?

We did get a MYW package. Am I correct to assume a voucher will be sent then? Is it a free round each or just one?

I personally prefer the winter course at winter summerland. I think the theming is the best and I'm pretty sure they refurbished some of it earlier this year.

Longest I've waited to start in the evening was 20-25 minutes. Playing at night is worth the wait though IMO.

While I don't have first-hand experience, I've read that you can ask an AK bus to go there and they'll swing by and drop you off. (Not totally sure how you'd get back, though I presume the CM at Winter Summerland can arrange something) Best bet is to inquire at the Lobby Concierge desk at your resort, or call the WDW Transportation line: 407-939-7433.

Oh, and if you have the Water Parks & More option on your MYW ticket, you can use one of those admissions for a round of mini golf before 4pm. (Limit one redemption per day)

Not sure about the terms of the voucher, I haven't booked a package in a number of years.

I have played both courses and I prefer WinterSummerland, and I think children would enjoy that one better. There are a lot of fun gags on the course. Fantasia is fun too but there definitely is not as much shade.

One time when we went to Winter Summerland Blizard Beach was closed so the AK bus dropped us off. Then when we went to leave we were told the Epcot bus would pick us up in about 45 minutes. It seemed strange so we just walked over to Coronado Springs which was a short walk and took the bus to AK (which is the park we wanted to go to). When we went to Fantasia we got a taxi at our resort and then the cast member at Fantasia called us a taxi when we wanted to leave and go back to the resort.

We did use the voucher for golf in June.
