Middle Earth for Universal?

There are many rumors swirling around that Universal is discussing for theme park rights of the Lord of The Rings with Warner Bros and the Tolkien Family.

Yes please! But to be honest, I'd really only be interested in something along the lines of Hobbiton/the Shire. I love the LOTR films, but most of the film settings were (appropriately) dark and dank. While I wouldn't mind some sort of Moria-themed ride, I'd be much more interested in exploring/shopping/dining in the brighter and colorful locales.

oh ok. but nonetheless Islands of Adventure isn't only strictly on movies but its on books and myths and franchises. So I assumed it could be something else as well?

By the way, where would Universal get the land? would they need to do what they did with wet n wild having the 3rd gate in a separate location or will they buy more connected land?

The "Major Blvd" plot east of UOR on the other side of Kirkman. Some businesses would need to be bought out, and transportation would need to be figured out, but its the closest possibility.

Islands of Adventures theme is Adventure, the franchises/books chosen just relate to that theme.

I think a movie themed water park would be a great way to try something new and increase attendance! But the way things are going, I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a Harry Potter Park built in this location...

It could be a stop on the Gringotts Express, could be extra charge so Uni can rake in a ton of cash and all they have to do is build a new multi level car park in a new location.

I think it's fair to say we would all love that right?

Wouldn't somethings like Comcast buy back of the Lockheed land and Middle Earth be a perfect marriage ... like I don't know like sausages sleeping in bacon blankets ...
