Mid November - MVMCP and Decorations?

Ok, just returned and booked a BB offer. Going back in mid November, either week of the 8th or 15th. Is MVMCP a must do for everyone? What is the cost and does anyone know when you can purchase tickets? Will most of the Christmas decorations be up during those weeks?

So if I get this right, u are arriving on Saturday the 8th? Just remember that the marathon is that weekend and also it's the last weekend for epcots food and wine festival so expect large crowds for that park over the weekend. If u push your trip back and arrive Monday, the free dining usually kicks in again that week as it is blocked out the week before due to the marathon, etc.

If U never have done the Xmas party, do it. I would suggest arriving at 4pm and using your FP+ picks to get on a few rides and once the party starts just go with the flow and meet all the characters, cookies and hot cocoa and seeing the parade and wishes on Main Street is a must! It snows there!!!

All of the other parks will have Xmas decorations and I also have the Osborne lights at DHS up and running!

That week is a great time to go, we went last year and had a blast and low crowds( we got there the day after all the Epcot stuff from that weekend) . This year we are again, going Tuesday 11-18th. Have fun planning! I'm just patiently waiting for my ADR dates to book!

Also remeber that Monday the 10th is a holiday. If u can hold off and arrive that Tuesday you will not have any problems with crowds at all! And free dining plan! U can't go wrong with that! It's worth the few extra days wait!

MVMCP is a must do for sure! We'll be there to Nov/21 and plan to go on the Nov/20 party if it happens, otherwise I'll add another day and go to the one on Friday, Nov/22.

I'm hoping most decorations will be up by November 18th because we're planning to resort hop to see it all decked for Christmas!

@stevehousse makes a good point about that weekend being crowded. While it's when we're looking at going, I have been warned that the crowds will be on the large side.

So we made a bad decision changing our dates from the 11th to the 9th? FD is probably off of our table because we're staying at POFQ but I didn't take into consideration crowds, totally forgot about the marathon.

It's ok though, I'll just go to EPCOT on Nov/10 to eat around the world and won't even think about riding anything besides our 3 FP+.

Thanks @stevehousse We are arriving on Sunday the 9th. We caught the tail end of the Princess 1/2 a couple of weeks ago, so yes, I understand we'll be faced with some crowds on Sunday and Monday.

I think I'm definitely going to try the party. We may just have a down day, never had one of those before, and go to the party that night. Waiting to see tickets prices and dates for the party.

Thanks everyone for their help!

It's a great idea to have a half day off and go to the party at night, specially if you plan to stay till the end. You can also get in at 4PM, which gives you 8 hours at the park for$67, plus use FP+ from 4-7pm. All in all I consider the party to be a pretty good value.

Just an FYI, the Nov park hours will be released before the actual party dates are announced. So if u see MK closing at 7pm on the calander, it's 99% chance it's a Xmas party date! Also, usually that Thursday, which this year would be the 13th, DHS usually closed at 4pm due to cast member appreciation party that takes place there so make sure to not go to the park that day with such limite hours!
