Mid July

Hi kiddies! I tried to search, but I don't know if it's my computer or what, the search box doesn't completely show up, and I can't type anything in. So, sorry...

Anyways... I was wondering what the crowds are like in mid July. I have a wedding to go to July 12, and I was thinking about doing a couple of days in the parks. Most likely, the weekdays of that week. Are the crowds terrible? I do get quite impatient and aggravated quickly, haha. Hence the reason I usually go in Oct, Nov, March, and Jan... very quiet months.

And how hot does it get? Unbearable?

last year my family and i went from july 5 - 14. the crowds were bad if you arent using early entry or utilyzing fastpass. i recall that the one time we decided to sleep in a little and go to mgm about 30 minutes after it opened on a non early entry day, well, we got nothing done! tot and rnr were 2 hour waits and the fastpass didnt have us getting back to it until 12:30 or 1. but emh and fastpass and you should get it done.

heat? badddd. not just the heat, but the humidity. we always went into the day saying ok we arent gonna buy water we can do it. $10.00 on water bottles 30 minutes later lol. but hey, a lot of air conditioned places to cool off in.

but hey, even with crowd and heat, it was the best vacation of my life, so i think youll be just fine

Last year I went around the 20th of July for 5 days and the weather wasn't that bad. It was in the 80's, so it was okay and the crowds were mild. When you go around the July 4th holiday it is much more crowded because people have that extra day off from work, so they figure they only have to use 4 vacation days instead of 5.

We went last July. The crowds are big - especially since we're like you and tend (prefer) to go at down times. And yes - it was hot and very humid. We enjoyed the pool during the day and then did the parks in the evening and an E-ride night at MK. We're going back this July for a long weekend and are looking forward to the EMH which will give us even more evening hours at the parks. :sohappy:

I'd have to agree with everyone else, it will be very hot and humid. There will be mid afternoon thunderstorms.

Last July we had a few days that were so hot we couldn't stay in the Parks and we couldn't go to the water parks because they were at capacity & closed and the pools were overflowing.

Uh-oh...I'm going in late July...and am now a bit nervous...but, I'm sure if I go with the flow...and enjoy every air conditioned attraction, or store I can find...I'll have a good time.

We found the secret to be take advantage of the EMH, take a break during the storms and then head back to the parks. We have been doing that for a few years now and it seems to work well for us. :wave:

We went last July 14-21 and it wasn't as bad as I expected. The crowds were big, but the lines weren't too bad at all. The only miserable experience we had was Spectromagic and Wishes, a long wait for a spot that wasn't even that great, in the blistering heat, and the crowd was so thick it was suffocating. I wish we had just skipped that.

We go every year in July around the 16-23. Crowds are big but manageable, weather is hot, but again managable. Start out early take advantage of early entry and late closing times. Hmm, sort of what everyone else posted. :animwink:
