Mickey's Vacation Village - a new land at MK

I have created many, MANY threads related to a replacement for Toontown Fair at WDW, from the Magic Kingdom to the Studios, but when it came to classic Disney shorts, I just kept coming back to the Magic Kingdom. I just thought that the shorts should be at the Magic Kingdom as much as possible.

Anyway, this idea of mine is for another such land. Only in this case, the land is located not near Fantasyland, but rather out beyond Frontierland. That means I had to do something totally drastic, yet something a lot of WDW fans would probably want to see: the reduction of the Rivers of America, with a bridge of sorts from Big Thunder to the Haunted Mansion. However, there's just a few slight problems: the riverboat and Tom Sawyer Island.

I will get to more later on, but for now, what should be done about the Rivers of America and more importantly about the Liberty Belle Riverboat?

Could you post a map of exactly where you would like the new land to be? I need a visual to picture it before I can help.

Well, it's rather crude, but the land would be up in the northwestern corner beyond Frontierland, back where what looks like the Great Western Stagecoach Adventure will be and covering part of the Rivers of America, right where it says "Keelboats":

I hope that helps.

The only thing that would be preventing me from going up back there is not so much the Rivers of America or the railroad tracks, but rather a small creek running up behind that Great Stagecoach ride building up there, which is where I plan to build this land.

Wouldn't this make more sense in DHS where they desperately need to add?

No, it wouldn't. This is (or was) called Mickey's Vacation Village. One of the attractions to be put in is called Goofy About Road Trips. If this were to go in the Studios, I'd be picturing it as a working movie set concept and making the road trip just a movie, and thus it would be a cop-out. It would only be adding to the fact that the Studios park is so loose right now. Would you be going on a trip with Goofy or would you be watching a film being made of people going on a trip with Goofy?

Yes, the Studios needs help, and I believe that it is about to get it, in the form of Star Wars, not of Mickey and the gang. Why does it seem like Mickey and the gang makes sense only at the Studios?
