Mickey's Not So Scary...

So we are Passholders (for years and years), that have NEVER been to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party....awful, right!? We want to go but wondering how the event is? We always see the sweet Halloween party decor that is set up for the event, but we never attend. Should we go? Is it worth it? Help!

Flying down from OH for two days specifically for MNSSHP and Food &Wine. We will have a great time!

I say it's worth a try. Hallowishes and Boo-to-You are great nighttime entertainment you can't find anywhere else, and the park just gives off a different vibe with everyone in costume, getting candy, and meeting characters.

It's actually more fun if you're familiar with the park.
All the alternative music and lighting is interesting to see, but the real fun is all the other guests (and hopefully you) in creative costumes.
It kind of has an "inmates run the asylum" feel to it, especially when you run into entire houses of Hogwarts or weird alternate universe versions of Pete's Dragon characters or whatever.

Its also generally lighter crowds and shorter lines. If you are doing photo pass.. There are different magic shots and locations available.. Some even have party themes props. We got a pic of us holding a Halloween themed frame with he year on it. Main St USA and the castle were lit up orange and purple.. Made a great shot.

We are using it as our arrival day park ticket this year.. Taking advantage of the 4p entrance for party goers.

It's insanely fun and watching the Headless Horseman ride is a great Disney experience. We've done it a lot and never get tired of it.

Thanks guys for the input! I guess any avid Disney-er must do this anyway. Not that I didn't want to, just wondering how it is! Daughter is going to love it...now which Descendants character will I be (can adults dress up??)

This sounds so awesome!!! I love the little Mickey pumpkins on the lightposts! We have just seen them being at the park during the day during the party dates.

Hi starting to think about next year's trip and whether to budget this in... travelling from UK 21st October so going to hit a lots of MK early closures due to the party

As weve already paid for entry every day an extra $300 (2 adults 1 child) is quite steep .. shame you don't get a slight discount of you've already got tickets for the day

Yes everyone can dress up just remember that it is Florida so costumes with multiple layers aren't advised unless you enjoying sweating like crazy. Also long capes, masks and prop guns are a no no. Also don't get people too excited about the headless horseman because if it is raining he doesn't ride because of the concrete getting slippery for the horse.

If you want light crowds do one of the earliest parties, but the earliest parties tend to be have fewer guests wearing costumes.
