Mickey's Not So Scary Reviews

Had a blast. It was my first Not So Scary, so I may be a bit biased.

I loved the "Boo To You" Parade. From what I have heard, it is the same as last year except there is a new Haunted Mansion graveyard float and a few minor changes in the order of appearance. I watched both showings of the parade. During the second showing, the crocodile got stuck on the parade route and crews had to get it moving again. I think his back wheel may have gotten stuck in the streetcar tracks down Main Street.

The Headless Horseman rode last night as well, but at a trotting pace for safety.

HalloWishes is alright, but not my favorite fireworks. It doesn't flow together as well as other firework shows and I'd rather have the original soundtracks of songs rather than the 90s pop/gospel/hip hop attempt of them.

I didn't really get to catch the Villains show in front of the castle.

Trick or Treating was great!

The Halloween Dance Party in Tomorrowland was fun. They were handing out free Star Wars playback toothbrushes.

I took advantage of the free face painting in ToonTown as well.

Haunted Mansion was all lit up. Looked great. There was a lady all dressed up sitting on a bench on the lawn singing songs and talking to guests. Loved all the rolling fog.

Staff all over the park were very friendly. Custodial members were even doing water art near ToonTown. Half of my group had on costumes and a lady at the Emporium asked for their autographs which was fun.

The park was great. The staff was great. Guests were in a great mood and their costumes were awesome. The park had a decent turnout, but not overly crowded. I'd say a great event.

Hmmm, nice review, rtc247! :)

Wonder if it may stay "not overly crowded" throughout its course. We might do it, but the timing for us is important....

I didn't actually stand in line to see the characters but these are the ones I know were out because I saw them:

-Captain Hook & Spee (near Pirates)
-Stich, Chip & Dale (Tomorrowland Dance Party)
-Aladdin & Jasmin (Adventureland near Dole Whip stand)
-Buzz Lightyear (Tomorrowland - between CoP & Buzz)
-Mickey & Minnie (in their respected houses in Toontown)

I heard that the Princesses and Fairies were in the Judge's Tent, but I am not sure about that.

There was a barbershop quartet in Liberty Square singing Halloween songs.

On Main Street there was other typical entertainment including a three piece band which had a tuba with lights on it.

I also heard the Alice & the Mad Hatter were on the path between ToonTown and Tomorrowland.

Finally, a friend told me that this is the only time of year you can find Snow White and all Seven Dwarfs together. I don't know where that was though.

Is Hallowishes still shorter like last year?..If I recall correctly a few parts were cut down making it a bit shorter during Never smile at a crocodile and the villians entrance.

I love the glow that the Castle is emanating! Certainly has that spooky feeling... I am more tempted to go now with your pics. :lookaroun

Oh yes, I've seen a lot of people without costumes...But, It's much more fun to dress up!
Ah, but how do you know that it isn't a costume when it is?

I know I always go to WDW playing "The Tourist" and receiving praise for it... :lookaroun:lol:

Looks like Goofy got a new overlay for the Stitch Dance Party. I didn't hear about any other character changes.

Thanks for the pictures and review.
This is the first time is 3 years that I'm not going down to WDW during the Halloween season. I LOVE MNSSHP so I've very bummed that I'm missing out this year. I'll have to live vicariously through others post and pictures.
