We plan on going in September. Last time we went we did not find the trick or treating part so I fell like we wasted our money. Any tips on what to do and where to trick or treat at the park.

If we are already in the park that day do we need to leave and re-enter for the party since its a separate ticket?

Trick or treat locations are throughout the park and fairly well marked by lit inflatable candy corn looking objects. You can also find them on the map. They were our least favorite part last year for what it’s worth.

You don’t need to leave and renter, but you will need to visit a bracelet location in the park. They’ll be on the map as well.

You can get a wrist band just across from Pirates of the Caribbean if you are already in the park.

I don't think trick or treating is what the "value" is in regards to the party. I don't spend that kind of money just to get some cheap candy. The value to me is the extra stuff they have during the party like the parade, stage show, fireworks, different characters out that you normally do not see. Not only that but with less guests, the wait time for the rides is much shorter. I never understood what people do with the bags and bags of candy they carry out of there. It's not like I am going to bring an extra suitcase and fly home with some Halloween candy.

The time goes so quickly. There is never enough time to do everything. Just hit a few candy stations as you walk between other more important things. One tip. Have one person hold a place for viewing the parade while the rest go trick or treating. On main street the side walk space fills up quickly. To be in the second row and not have to deal with people in front of you stand right behind a trash can. CM's will not let people sit or stand in front of trash cans. Works as long as you are tall enough to see over trash can.
