Does anyone know if the music in Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade was custom written just for the parade or was the music (especially the end parade music) derived from some other source?

I love this parade music, I put it on while I'm cleaning!

Not sure about the end but the bit that Minnie sings (pata pata) is used in a detergent commercial in England and I'm sure I've heard Iko Iko on a commercial aswell.

I was just about to say that about the ad shown in the UK.

Anyway, the listing for Mickeys Jamin Jungle parade has -

The rhythm of one - Walt Disney Music
Pata Pata - Makeba, abekam Music (bmi)
Mas Que Nada - Jorge APRS (BMI) and Peermusic, by Michelle Amato Hann
Iko Iko - Hawkins/Johnson/Thomas/Jones/Jones/Jones Trio Music, 1964

So basically a combination of Disney and other tracks

thanks! I also found the details about rhythm of one:

All musical arrangements were orchestrated by Gordon Goodwin and recorded in Los Angeles."[/FONT]

I don't know, but three years ago we were fortunate enough to actually BE in that parade and were on the last float with Mickey, and that song played in my head for two days... lol:ROFLOL:
