Mickey's Backyard BBQ

Our first time to WDW with girls 9 & 10. I was unable to get reservations at HoopDeDoo. Went for Mickey's Backyard BBQ. Anyone have any experience with this? Is it worth trying to get reservations at Hoop De Doo once we arrive in Disney next month instead of BBQ?

Never been to Mickeys Backyard BBQ but Hoop dee doo is Definetly worth trying to get tickets the food is good but the show is awsome .... try and get in its worth every penny (its also one of my familys fav things to do when they come visit)

I heard the BBQ is great, and your girls will probably enjoy it much more than the Hoop dee doo. There are characters there and they play games and such, you will have a great time.

I also heard great things about it. I wanted to take my son but since we usually go in the "value season" they don't have it going. It sounds like a lot of fun, especially for someone like me who hates camping. You get to have the campfire experience with a Disney touch and you don't have to sleep in the woods.

I have never been to to the BBQ, but I have been to Hoop Dee Doo three times and loved it i think if you can get reservations to go and see it becauses its great.

Even though I agree with everyone about the Hoop Dee Doo, I think that the BBQ is a better choice only because of your kids ages. They will have such a better time at the BBQ.

Food is good anf plentiful. The show leaves a little to be desired for adults. It is definetaly geared towards kids. When I went all adults without kids including us left after we ate.

The food was great !! Your kids I think will enjoy it only as much as you enteract with them during the activities. We were pretty tired and just ate the meal and took the boat over to MK. With anything WDW, try it for yourself first and form your own opinion. My kids were 7 & 9 at the time. Have fun when you go!!

Even though I agree with everyone about the Hoop Dee Doo, I think that the BBQ is a better choice only because of your kids ages. They will have such a better time at the BBQ.

We took kids ages 12 - 3 and they loved the Hoop De Do...its corny singing and jokes kept them laughing the entire time! Getting to play the washboard was another highlight! They all loved the food (especially the dessert) and I have taken my kids a few times, they still enjoy it even at ages 17 & 11.

We have always wanted to do the BBQ, but never seem to fit it in to our schedule. Call for reservations for the Hoop De Do after you check in and see what you can do. Good luck and have a great trip! :wave:
