Mickey Waffles - where can I find them ?

I was reminiscing with my adult children about trips we took in the late 80's. One son remembered that when we ate in the revolving restaurant in Epcot he had Mickey waffles. Now what fascinated him was not the waffle, but the butter which had been molded into a 3-D small statue of Mickey !! It took me forever to convince him that I couldn't put it in his sister's diaper bag and take it home !!

That leads me to ask, has anyone recently seen the waffles - or better yet the butter statues ?

Well, among other places, I know they have the waffles at the Pop Century food court. That's probably true for the other resorts too. As for the butter, I've never seen them but they sound cool!!

Those waffles, sadly, aren't Mickey waffles. They say POP! on them and I don't seem to enjoy them as much as the regular Mickey waffles.

The last time I saw the butter Mickey was at Cinderella Castle resturant, a.k.a. Cindrella's Royal Table formerly King Stefan's Banquet Hall, (I know wrong King but that's what it was called). Haven't seen it in recent years though. :(

I don't remember the butter statue but do remember when they use to have butter pats that had the old WDW logo on it. Just the globe Mickey head. Does anyone else remember that?

Are you saying that Disney's POP Century Resort does not sell Mickey Waffles for breakfast?

Mickey waffles and Mickey shaped butter statue

This is my first post so hope I do myself justice.

I've never had the Mickey waffles but the official flour of WDW is Carbon's Golden Malted Pancake and Waffle flour, which you can purchase on-line (www.goldenmalted.com). I got this information from MagicalMountain.net so your mileage may vary.

Also, my wife and I received the Mickey statue butter when we ate at the Coral Reef restaurant in 1991. I think they also serve it at Artist's Point.

Since a lot of people seem to like the waffles, maybe I'll give them a try the next time we're at WDW. I will say that I have tried the cinnamon waffles at Bonfamilles in Port Orleans Riverside and they are (or at least were in 1996) FABULIOUS!!!

I know exactly were to find a few of them mickey waffles. They are in my freezer. About 3 years ago we went on a Disney cruise and the ship had them. I grabbed about 4 of them and bagged them for the return home. When I unpacked they were put in the freezer and have been there ever since. Don't think I'll ever eat them :hurl: :hurl: but they put a smile on my face when I'm looking for something for dinner. :D

Mickey waffles are at Trail's End breakfast at Ft. Wilderness. A ferry ride from the Magic Kingdom. Can't beat the price either with an all-you-can-eat buffet for 9.99/adult. We eat breakfast there at least once during a stay and can eat a light lunch in the parks and save money.
